"Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD" (Deut 8:3). A life lived "beyond bread" is one sustained not by what is seen, but by what is unseen, by the Word of God. It is not primarily focused on material gain in this life, but on treasure in the next. Living according to God's Word can lead us to "beyond bread adventures" in unexpected places! . . . both in our own hearts in the world! (Matt 6:19-20)
Family
I cannot measure the great love and thankfulness I have for my 10.5 year marriage to my late husband, David Wilkinson, our three sons, our daughters-in-law and our 5 grandchildren (as of October, 2018). They are my greatest treasures in life, aside from Jesus, my spiritual children and grandchildren, and my brothers and sisters in the faith around the world. I am thankful for my biological family which introduced me to the teachings of the Bible, to fellowship in a Bible-believing church, and to the possibility of a life-long career in missions. Growing up in and interacting with my biological and in-law families have helped to humble me, inspire me, and push me towards seeking God in ways that I will forever be indebted to them.
